OVERVIEW
GM Tax & Accounting Service (GMTAS) was established in 2000 by South Carolina State University graduate, Maresa A. McGuire. Maresa obtained her Bachelor of Science, Accounting degree in 1997. While working in the Accounting and Finance industry, she decided to start GMTAS for her interest in Accounting, Taxes, Finance, and Business. She also started this company due to the fact that she was not pleased with the high tax preparation fees that other tax preparation companies were charging her customers.
Maresa takes pride in educating her tax clients about their returns. She also provide tax filing and preparation recommendations. Her primary goal is to ensure that her clients receive all of their tax credits. At GMTAS, she advocates for education and she embrace the idea of building self wealth while reducing or avoiding debt.
